Claudio Salocchi

CLAUDIO SALOCHI (1934 - 2012) was an Italian industrial designer who was internationally recognized for his product designs, interiors, and architectural projects. Interested in space and function, Salocchi studied materials such as aluminum alloys and workspace configurations to develop optimal forms for productive workspaces. Salocchi’s designs, from his rotating Centro bookcase to his adjustable Appoggio stool, offer creative solutions to everyday design dilemmas.

Salocchi worked with many manufacturers including Sormani, Skipper, Lumenform, Ghianda, and Bottega Gadda. His work has been widely documented and he achieved numerous awards throughout his career, including the Compasso d’Oro in 1979.
