Erik Ole Jørgensen

ERIK OLE JØRGENSEN (1928 - 2002) was a Danish furniture designer known for his minimalist yet functional designs. He was born in Denmark and trained as a cabinetmaker before studying furniture design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen.

Jørgensen began his career as a furniture designer in the 1950s, and quickly gained recognition for his innovative designs. His furniture was characterized by its clean lines, simplicity, and functionality, and he often used natural materials such as wood and leather.

Jørgensen designed a wide range of furniture, including chairs, sofas, and tables, many of which are still produced today. His most iconic designs include the "EJ 220" sofa, the "EJ 315" chair, and the "EJ 100" chair.

Jørgensen's designs were highly influential in the Scandinavian design movement, and his work was exhibited in museums and galleries around the world. Today, his furniture is highly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts, and his legacy continues to inspire contemporary designers.
